Every so often I find myself snacking…. Well if I’m being honest as a chef, a large part of the food I consume are just snacks. It’s usually something quick that I can put together in the kitchen, drawing from whatever ingredients are already laying around. I do understand most people don’t just have this kind of stuff laying around. I spend hours and days creating intricate menus but these little impromptu snacks give me much joy and pleasure.
Today I’m a pirate, getting ready for a murder mystery party. I’m preparing a Caribbean “parrot” stew, made from the birds of my enemies. I wonder what sort of snack will emerge.
